So I am seeing these all over my Instagram feed. It's like everyone has gone smoothie bowl crazy. M and I needed to give this latest health kick a try. We quickly learned it was exactly what we had been making as our smoothies, only inside a bowl! But to make it different from what we love to drink we have made the smoothie bowl thicker, and the best part is we get to top the smoothie bowl with all kids of our favorite goodies! I also love to add veggies to our smoothies.
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- 1/2 cup water
- handful spinach
- 1/2 frozen ripe banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
toppings: granola, bananas, fresh strawberries
- In a blender blend together 1/2 cup coconut water, 1/2 cup water and handful spinach.
- Once spinach is smooth add 1/2 frozen ripe banana, 1 cup frozen strawberries and 2 tbsp chia seeds and blend till smooth!
- Pour into bowl at your desired consistence and top with your favorite goodies!
