I've been trying several cranberry sauce recipes lately to find the perfect balance of tart and sweet. To be honest I can't stand when the sauce is so sweet…it’s just too much! And with this recipe I absolutely love how the maple syrup and orange zest balance each other out!
- 12 oz cranberries
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- orange zest
- In a sauce pan add all ingredients.
- Over medium high heat bring to a boil then reduce and stir for about 10 minutes.
- Refrigerate until ready to eat!
***Added bonus - these can be made ahead of time!
